We will be adding the Date Added field soon.

As for the other fields - everyone has the fields they want to see, but this is a search engine intended for all users of the Archive, and as such we intend to only include what pertains to all items in the Archive, not just to specific sets of items and users. We're trying to keep the interface from becoming cluttered, and if we just included every field every person asks for, it'd become a mess. Hope that helps understand the decision.

Jonathan, thanks for the reply.

I understand that some fields might not apply across the board, so that makes sense. The old format of listing the newly added shows did give you the Lineage info if the uploader filled in the fields, and that was often enough to decide if I wanted to see more details about the entry. Not having that info makes it a bit more difficult, since the user must now activate the link to get to the main XML page, and then reload the search results for EACH entry, rather than being able to skip over shows that might obviously be of lesser interest to some folks.
It's my feeling that including (lineage)information would make it a tad easier to browse the new GD shows especially if it could be done without cluttering the general display of the database. But.. whatever is practical for you folks to deal with is understood.

In any event.. another round of thanks for all that you do.

Sure. The primary reason for the difference is that we used to have a different search results page for each type of content. As we're trying to scale up and provide many more types of content (beyond movies, texts, audio, and live concerts), it becomes critical for us to only have one page formatting the results.

I'll mull it over and see if there isn't a way to include the information you want.

Thanks again for your support :)
